Jochy Santos
Dominican comedian and host of El Show del Mediodía, on Santo Domingo radio and television for decades
About Jochy Santos
Santo Domingo's small stages came first — comedy nights where the crowd told you within seconds whether a joke worked. Radio widened the audience, television widened it again, and for years now I have hosted a midday programme that arrives just as the country sits down to eat. Humour here is serious business; it is how we talk about everything else.
